Julie Owen
Julie Owen MCSPPhysiotherapist with a special interest in Paediatrics Registered with the Health Professions Council Julie trained at Joint Services School of Physiotherapy and qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1982. Since qualifying, she has attended many courses relevant to her specialist field and has a wide range of experience in paediatrics. Julie's first post was with the NHS at Hemel Hempstead General Hospital, She worked at Northampton General Hospital before specialising in Paediatrics in 1985 completing the Guy's Hospital paediatric rotational training scheme 1985-1989. From 1989-2003 she worked in the South Bucks area as a Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist becoming Clinical Lead there in 2001. She now works for the NHS part-time in Dacorum as a Senior Children's Physiotherapist where she carries a mixed caseload across the spectrum of paediatric conditions. She has specialised in paediatrics for 20 years with a particular interest in developmental delay and cerebral palsy. She has a lot of experience working with families with children with disabilities and is regarded by families as an effective educator. She is a Bobath trained therapist and a member of the British Association of Bobath trained Therapists. |
