Physiotherapy practice has a long history and modern clinical practice is heavily reliant on research evidence.
Physiotherapy extends from health promotion to:

- Gain & record accurate histories & clinical information.
- Assess & explain your injury.
- Treat your injury using appropriate techniques which may include any of the following.
- Hands on mobilisation / traction techniques.
- Electrotherapy ultrasound / pulse short wave.
- Provide an advice & exercise programme.
- Liaise with your GP or Consultant after initial treatment by letter.
- Keep your GPs & Consultants informed during your treatment period (if required).
- Liaise with your Insurance Companies to save you the "Hassle" of payment!
- Follow up your final appointment, with a discharge or on-referral, by letter.
