Ganesh Baliah PodiatristGanesh is a highly specialised Musculoskeletal & Sports Podiatrist with vast experience in both the NHS and private sector. His NHS post is a Health Education England Clinical Fellow and Allied Health Profession Lead Clinician for the Northamptonshire Health & Care Partnership.  He has previously been Principal Podiatrist in the field of Paediatric foot and ankle disorders. He holds post graduate diplomas in the Theory of Podiatric Surgery, Musculoskeletal Diagnosis and Podopaediatrics.  He specialises in podiatric biomechanics, gait analysis (analysis of your walking pattern) and sports injury rehabilitation and has a wealth of experience working with elite athletes, including cricketers, football and rugby players.

Ganesh is active in maintaining his Continual Professional Development by either attending or speaking at local branch events and national conferences. He is part of a dynamic academic journal club, with the aim to stay abreast of current and evidenced based foot and ankle treatment and research. He is competent in minor procedures including nail surgery, Falknor’s Needling of Verrucae, corticosteroid injection and advanced and diagnostic injection therapy.

  • Ganesh, who has a special interest in paediatrics, was invited as a guest speaker to present on 'Public Health Involvement in Childrens Health' at the Podopaediatrics Specialist Advisory Group National Conference in 2018, in Birmingham.  The presentation was very well received and gave insight into strategies on keeping kids healthier and active. 
  • He has been nominated by the College of Podiatry to take part in a project run by Health Education England encouraging Allied Healthcare Professionals to utilise their skills beyond their clinical careers with involvement in research, Public Health, Healthcare Leadership and Academia. Ganesh will take part in a 'talking heads' video, to discuss his own career pathway.
  • Ganesh has been invited by the College of Podiatry to be part of a Task and Finish group and contribute to work around developing Healthcare and Clinical Leadership within the Podiatry profession.
  • He has also been awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in 'Leadership in Healthcare' by Swansea Medical School.  Ganesh continues to work as a Health Education England Clinical Fellow as well as his work at St Judes.
